JESUS OUR VICTORY FAMILY FELLOWSHIP

We are a family at Jesus our Victory family Fellowship. A family where God is our heavenly father, Who desires for us to grow closer to Him every day! The Bible talks about our church family in Galatians 6:10, "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." This verse truly describes JOV Family. We want to be good to everyone, but especially those who are a part of our fellowship family.

Here at Jesus Our Victory Family Fellowship, you will feel welcomed, loved and even cared for. As a member of our fellowship, you will feel part of our family, the family of God. You will not only feel loved, and cared for, but you will feel like you are one of us. Truly, this was the key to the success of the early church fellowship. In Acts 2, the church fellowship came together as one. They continued in the apostles' doctrine, in fellowship, in breaking of bread and in prayer. Acts 2:46-47 tells us that not only did they have singleness of heart, but gladness. My prayer is that we would be a Church that is "praising God, and having favour with all men."

When I think of Jesus Our Victory family Fellowship, I don't think of us as much of a church as we are a Family! A family built upon a sure foundation. Jesus Christ being our Chief father leader !

FAMILY..

According to Webster's dictionary, a family is a group of individuals living under one roof. But of course, a family is much more than that.

The family is the first institution that God ordained in the Word of God! We see in Geneses 3.20, Adam called Eve his wife. The Home starts with husband and wife. The first time we see the word "love" in the Bible is Geneses 22, Abraham loved his son. God loves His Son, His only begotten Son. The second time we see the word love in God's Word is Geneses 24, Isaac loved his wife! The Emphases the Lord puts in Ephesians 5, talking about marriage, is for the husband to "so love his wife..."

A family depends much on a loving father. A father that will love his wife the same way the Lord loved the church and gave Himself for it. Of course not every family will have a loving father, a loving mother, but truly this was God's original intent for all of our families. However, there are many who live in a home without a father or a mother. Their family may consist of just a brother, a sister, or just maybe, they are all that is left of their family. Families come in all shapes and sizes, most come with issues that have deep routs of pain and a lot of unresolved conflicts. No matter the case, if you have a family that fits the mould of God's plan, you must be extra grateful! There are so many today who live in a house, and yet fail to have the family God would want for them.

Jesus Our Victory Family Fellowship is interested in building our families according to God's Holy Word! Putting back the pieces that are broken, mending the wounds of those who are hurt. Accepting us all for where we are at, yet building our lives around God's perfect plan and intent for us all. Truly the key components to our home is the father and the mother. God expects us to nurture and raise our children according to the Word of God. Oh how we need families that make the conscious decision to make Christ the centre of their home and say with Joshua, "as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
